1. Simple Mode
Structure
- 1 Campaign with 1 Ad Set containing multiple Ads
- Each creative becomes a separate ad
Example
If you upload 10 creatives:
Campaign: "My Simple Campaign"
└── Ad Set: "My Ad Set"
├── Ad 1 (Creative 1)
├── Ad 2 (Creative 2)
├── ...
└── Ad 10 (Creative 10)
Best For
- Creative testing: Test which creative performs best with the same audience
- Small budgets: Centralized budget management
- Beginners: Simplest structure to understand
Pros
✅ Simple structure ✅ Easy to manage ✅ All ads compete with the same budget ✅ Clear performance comparison
Cons
❌ All ads target the same audience ❌ Limited flexibility for audience segmentation
2. Multi-Adsets Mode
Structure
- 1 Campaign with multiple Ad Sets
- Creatives are distributed evenly across ad sets
- Approximately 3 ads per ad set
Example
If you upload 9 creatives:
Campaign: "My Multi-Adsets Campaign"
├── Ad Set 1
│ ├── Ad 1 (Creative 1)
│ ├── Ad 2 (Creative 2)
│ └── Ad 3 (Creative 3)
├── Ad Set 2
│ ├── Ad 4 (Creative 4)
│ ├── Ad 5 (Creative 5)
│ └── Ad 6 (Creative 6)
└── Ad Set 3
├── Ad 7 (Creative 7)
├── Ad 8 (Creative 8)
└── Ad 9 (Creative 9)
Best For
- Audience segmentation: Different audiences per ad set
- Budget control: Allocate budget per ad set (ABO)
- Advanced testing: Test audiences AND creatives
Pros
✅ Flexible audience targeting per ad set ✅ Budget control per segment ✅ Scale successful ad sets independently ✅ Better for large campaigns
Cons
❌ More complex to manage ❌ Requires more budget (minimum per ad set) ❌ More time to optimize
3. Dynamic Creative Mode
Structure
- 1 Campaign with 1 Ad Set containing 1 Dynamic Ad
- All creatives (max 10) are combined into one ad
- Facebook automatically tests combinations
Example
If you upload 5 images and 3 videos:
Campaign: "My Dynamic Campaign"
└── Ad Set: "Dynamic Ad Set"
└── Dynamic Ad
├── Images: [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
├── Videos: [1, 2, 3]
├── Primary Texts: [Text 1, Text 2, ...]
└── Headlines: [Headline 1, Headline 2, ...]
Facebook automatically:
- Tests all creative combinations
- Shows the best performing combinations
- Optimizes delivery in real-time
Best For
- Automatic optimization: Let Facebook find the best combinations
- Large creative pools: Multiple images/videos to test
- Performance campaigns: Focus on results, not manual testing
Pros
✅ Automatic optimization by Facebook ✅ Tests all combinations automatically ✅ Saves time on manual testing ✅ Better for experienced advertisers
Cons
❌ Less control over which creative is shown ❌ Maximum 10 creatives per ad ❌ Videos not supported (Facebook API limitation) ❌ Harder to identify which creative works best
